The 2006 Condrieu Les Terrasses de l’Empire displays beautiful, smoky honeysuckle notes with other floral notes, some crushed rock, and loads of peach and apricot. It is a medium to full-bodied wine that is a brilliant Condrieu. Georges Vernay’s attractive daughter Christine has been running this estate for a number of years, and has not only built on the highly successful white wines of her father, but has also dramatically increased the quality of the reds.
